PRODUCT SUMMARY

OpCo Focus: EML, ENOL, and EAL

The Public Charging project is focused on developing an Entergy-owned public charging solution for our customers. While our focus is mainly fast charging along highways and corridors, we are exploring urban and remote options for public charging. We are dedicated to providing a customer-centric solution which establishes Entergy as a trusted charging provider.

EARLY LEARNINGS

  • Coordination and input necessary to make a filing with our regulatory bodies (EAL, EML, ENO)
  • How to work with our regulators to understand what each one values and how to move towards obtaining approval
  • Steps required to prepare a site for charger installation
  • Working with national commercial site-hosts and understanding what they value relating to public charging and a partner
  • Successful application for grant funding (EAL)
  • With this being so new to everyone – new requirements will arise as we work through the process of site identification through installation
  • In some jurisdictions, ordinances and regulations need to be updated to make way for public charging
  • Meaningful delays (internal and regulatory) will mean that we miss out on opportunities - there is a lot happening quickly in this space.

CURRENT PROGRESS
